Air Conditioning System Replacement
Replacing your air conditioning system can feel like a daunting task and let’s be honest, it’s not inexpensive. But, when your old system is constantly needing repairs, isn’t performing up to the task or isn’t performing at all, it’s best to bite the bullet and replace it. If not now, for instance when you’ve had a costly major component failure such as a coil or compressor, at some point, it’s not going to give you a choice.
Throughout our 28+ years in the HVAC industry, we’ve guided many homeowners through choosing their replacement air conditioning system. We’ll talk to you about the features you want, the size your home needs and walk you through the cost-benefit analysis of selecting the right energy efficienct make and model for your budget. Even if your air conditioner is only 10 years old, you may save 20% to 40% of your energy cooling costs by replacing it with a newer, more efficient model. Be sure to ask us about what’s hot in cooling systems: smart thermostats, ductless designs, variable speed fans, inverter compressors, zoning systems and more!
We work with all brands of heating and air systems such as Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Daikin, Goodman, Arco Aire, Aprilaire, Comfortmaker, ICP and more.
Important Considerations
SEER Rating SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. It’s an industry calculation which factors in the amount of electricity required to provide the desired amount of cooling within a given space. Without getting deep in the weeds: the less energy used by the unit to produce the proper amount of cooling, the higher the SEER rating.
Proper sizing and installation are key elements in determining air conditioner efficiency. Too large a unit will not adequately remove humidity. Too small a unit will not be able to attain a comfortable temperature on the hottest days. Proper unit location and good insulation will improve energy efficiency, as will solid duct design and properly calculated load balance.
Warranty Policy We stand by all of our installation projects be they system replacement or new construction. On newly installed AC equipment, we offer 10 years on parts, 2 years on labor and that’s 24/7 service with no extra charge. If after the initial 2 years’ labor have passed, but the parts are still under warranty and you need us after hours or on the weekend, we’ll come out and service your unit for our regular weekday rate.
Quiet Operation According to a Consumer Reports reader survey, “quiet operation is the feature that’s the best predictor for an owner’s overall satisfaction with their air conditioner.”
